Magical Dolomites guided motorcycle tour

The month of July is perfect to run away from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the coastline areas and head out to the mountains. If you have taken a closer look at us, and maybe read the introductory word, you could have noticed that we approach every single route in a different and unique way, somewhat personal. The reason for this is our belief that if we personally do not enjoy the prepared route, we will not know how to awaken the emotion in you.

It is for this reason that we were not guided by the popular names of the mountain passes such as Passo Stelvio or Grossglockner (which we will pass for sure) but we were aiming at small places along the road that truly capture the essence and the beauty of the journey, and the mentioned passes will just guide us to these places 😊. We will spice it all up with luxurious stays in beautifully designed boutique hotels, apartments, and restaurants that are a real icing on the cake to this lovely story.

We have taken care of everything, you just have to grab your motorcycle gear and accessories and sit on the plane. Leave everything else to us and we truly mean everything. We will meet you at the Zagreb airport and see you off from it as well. Who knows, maybe you will come a couple of days earlier to Zagreb, which we would highly recommend so that you can adjust to the time zone, but also to enjoy our hospitality a bit longer.

For the ultimate pleasure, we have procured BMW GS motorcycles which we consider perfect for our journey. They offer a lot of torque and enough power. They are also extremely comfortable and dependable. All motorcycles are equipped with solid top cases, but also with side cases if needed.

Please be free to scroll down this page to see day by day overview, and to find other information on presented guided motorcycle tour. In respect to information about reservations and booking, please do not hesitate to contact your Moto Tours Croatia team which is always at your disposal.

Contact Moto Tours Croatia team also if you have your own group (min 5 people) but the suggested dates are not good for you, that will be no problem for us, we will adjust to you 😊.

DAY BY DAY OVERVIEW

Upon arrival at the airport in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, you will meet your tour guide. You can spend the day sightseeing or go straight to the hotel, depending on your choice. It’s already common for us to organize a short initial ride so you can get comfortable with the bikes, because it would be a real shame not to use the bikes waiting in the hotel parking lot, right? In the evening, a traditional dinner is planned with a discussion about routes, motorbikes, roads and any question you may have.

We’ll head out to a beautiful adventure in the morning hours. Our first day ends in Admont, a beautiful Austrian town famous for the world’s largest monastery library.

We will be taking the route through Northern Croatia, Slovenia and the famous Route 69 in Austria. A dinner for the whole group is organized in Admont, and we recommend a visit to the local library.

After breakfast, our goal is to visit Zell Am See, we will ride to Hallstatt, a village on the southwestern shore of Lake Hallstatt, located in the Austrian area of Salzkammergutu in Upper Austria which is best known for its oldest salt mine.

Hallstatt, together with Dachstein mountain, forms a cultural landscape of Salzkammergut which was entered into the UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites in Europe in 1997. A walk through this beautiful town is planned after which we’ll head out in the direction of Zell Am See where we have an organized dinner and an overnight stay.

Grossglockner pass, Grossglockner High Alpine Road! Today we will experience a spectacular alpine ride, reaching the highest elevation of 2.504m/8.215 ft and enjoying a breathtaking view. Having our breath taken away 😊, taking some photos and a short stop, we are going to go to Italy, destination Bolzano, all the while riding through the amazing scenery.

In Bolzano, we again have an organized dinner and an overnight stay.

We deserve a short break. A day used for preparing for the next pass, but also a day which you can use to visit on your own Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet.

Or perhaps you would prefer a relaxing ride along Lago di Garda, a famous tourist destination. It is up to you to decide, and we’ll help you organize it. On this day, we’ll also stay in Bolzano for dinner and sleeping.

Today, we are conquering Passo Stelvio 😊. It is main reason for having taken this trip, with its highest point reaching no less than 2.758m/9.048 ft. It will be a difficult ascent, for our bikes 😊.

When we reach the top, we’ll stop and spend enough time to be able to take photos of all the surrounding beauty and to simply enjoy the beauty of the nature. We will descend on the southern side in the direction of Bormio, where over dinner we’ll chat about impressions, exchange photos and enjoy a well-deserved break.

The day designated for the return choosing nothing less than spectacular roads, passes, places.

Cortina d’Ampezzo, a famous Italian ski resort is our final destination for today. We will have time for a short stroll, sightseeing of a beautiful town in the Alps, and lastly dinner in good company.

Today we are planning a nice Dolomite road e.g. Agordo valley, Duran pass, Zoldo valley, Staulanza pass, Selva di Cadore, Giau pass, on our way to Tervisio where we will stay and have dinner.

Going from Italy, passing through Slovenia, coming to Croatia 😊, all the way travelling through beautiful passes, picturesque towns, villages…

For the end of this day, a dinner awaits us in a lovely Istria, which will make you experience the true ot the spirit, tasting truffle specialties and enjoying renowned Istrian wines.

… but an active rest. At dusk, we’ll head to Rovinj, perfect of a short walk in the city and a view of the unique sunset. Who knows, we might even take a dip in the sea 😊..

Our very last day of motorcycle rides. However, we’ll not head straight to Zagreb. We’ll get there through Buzet, Kotli and Hum (the smallest town in the world 😊), and then we’ll drop by in Opatia, a famous tourist destination….and only then will we (after coffee in Opatia) be able to say that we are going to Zagreb 😊.

Zagreb again 😊 Your transfers to the airport will be arranged of course.

The impressions you take with you will be most important to us. At the end of the day-trip, you will meet new people and learn about customs, and perhaps strike up a new friendship, or you will simply return home with some amazing photos… who knows 😊. We really hope that you will enjoy each and every day of our journey. Have a safe flight and of course – hope to see you again 😊

Yours Andrea & Robert!
