My wife and I, your guide, will welcome you at the airport in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Depending on your arrival time, you can do some sightseeing or go straight to the hotel. As your bikes will be waiting for you at the hotel parking lot, we presume you won’t resist taking a test ride, so we’ll organize a nice short first ride, just to get friendly with the bikes. In the evening, we will enjoy the traditional welcome dinner and we can discuss the routes, bikes, etc.

We will first head northwest just to make you feel the spirit of Zagreb and Northern Croatia since we will not have other opportunities to visit it, as we will later head south, to warmer regions 😊. We will be passing through picturesque continental areas, stop for a coffee, take photos and create first impressions, all with the aim of reaching Istria on our first day in good spirits. Opatija – Ičići is our final destination for the day, and dinner and sightseeing of the city 😊.

The second day on the road is reserved for one of the natural wonders of the Balkans, the Plitvice Lakes. They belong to the UNESCO world heritage. As today we do not have a busy day om the road 😊, we plan to arrive at the hotel as early as possible, so that we have the whole afternoon to visit this natural wonder of this part of the Europe.

Yesterday we enjoy the nature walking, today we enjoy our day riding 😊. Big 380 km to the capital in B&H, Sarajevo. A city of huge and great history.

We’ll experience Sarajevo in in the full sense. Famous center, Bascarsija, known of traditional food and manufactures. Sarajevo is one of most visited cities in Balkan region. So, ‘must see’ destination 😊.

We change the location, riding towards old city Mostar, visiting the Blidinje nature park. Lakes, rivers and mountains are our backyard today In the city of Mostar, we will visit the old bridge and have dinner in the old town.

NP Sutjeska, the oldest National Parks of Bosnia and Herzegovina with thee primeval forest. For a complete experience, we only need good weather 😊.

How to describe today? Let’s say THE ADVENTURE DAY. Today we are leaving one national park and entering another. At the same time, we enter Montenegro from B&H. Twisty and narrow roads, bridge above Tara river canyon, Piva Canyon, Sedlo Pass of Durmitor Mountain…. ok, ok will stop now 😊.

After the adventure through the mountains and canyons of Durmitor National Park, we will ride gently towards the south, towards the Montenegro coast. It is on our way to Croatia, our last part of the tour. We will spend the night in Cavtat, a medieval town in southern Dalmatia, which will be our base for visiting Dubrovnik the next day.

This is my favorite day…Pelješac, Just have a look at the pictures and everything will be clear as day… and if the weather allows it, and the sea is warm, having a swim in the stunning bays is a must 😊. In Pelješac, we will take a tour of the wine yards, ride through an impressive landscape. Today is a big ride since Split is our final destination. Depending on how much time we will spend on Peljesac, and believe me, there will be many reasons for that 😊 maybe we will use part of the highway in order to reach the city of Split and have time to walk around the city, Diocletian’s Palace, dinner…

One more adventure day is ahead of us. Mountains, rivers, old monasteries, national parks with beautiful lakes… and everything to end the day in the old city Zadar. You have to see it, experience it 😊. Although we will spend our day riding through the continental part of this region, all the way to Zadar, with every kilometer of this route you will notice a constant change of scenery and nature. I will leave it to you which impressions you wish to share with us over dinner 😊.

After breakfast, planning to show you Kornati islands with a boat, or you will just have real rest day enjoying city Zadar. It will be fully on you!

We will end our trip in style, believe me! Passing one of the most beautiful roads on the whole Adriatic, then we will climb the Velebit mountain… scenes to remember… The last 150 km towards Zagreb, we will ride on Croatia highway A1. Maybe just right to think about the whole trip in peace before the final dinner which we will have all together in Zagreb 😊.

Depending on the departure time, you will see how to spend time. Of course, your transfers to the airport will be arranged. We really hope you have enjoyed the trip. At the end of the day-trip, you will meet new people and learn about customs, and perhaps strike up a new friendship, or you will simply return home with some amazing photos… who knows 😊.
